What is Genopets?
Genopets is a free-to-play mobile game that makes it fun and rewarding to live an active lifestyle. Imagine if Tamagotchi and Fitbit had a baby. Take care of your Genopet by taking care of yourself: level up, nurture, evolve, and battle using Energy gained by walking around!
The Premise of the Game
Every player will summon their own unique Genopet that they nurture and care for through feed and fetch mini-games.
Players evolve their Genopet through daily activity to prepare them to Explore the Genoverse and Battle.
To be a great player, all you need to do is choose to walk a little more each day—so parking at the back of the mall parking lot or take the stairs at work—and remember to bank your steps each night.

How Much Does It Cost To Play?
Genopets is FREE TO PLAY. It costs nothing to summon your Genopet. It costs nothing to care for your Genopet.
Each day if you bank more than 1,000 steps, you'll receive Banking Rewards—food and toys you'll use to play with your Genopet. As long as you remember to Bank your steps, you'll never run out of treats to take care of your Genopet.

Will I Ever Need To Spend Money?
Just like with most mobile games, there are opportunities for you to spend money ONLY if you choose. You can purchase items off marketplaces like Cosmetic Crystals to change the color of your pet, Augments to change up their looks and Battle stats, or a Habitat to earn and create while playing. If you want a head start in the game, you can purchase a Genopet from other players off of Marketplaces.
How Do I Play?
Playing is simple. The app automatically tracks your steps throughout the day—no need to keep the app open or press start when beginning a workout. Hit the bank button each night before midnight to lock them in as Energy.
Without Energy, you can Nuture your Genopet to show them you love them. Nurture Actions include petting your Genopet, playing Fetch with them, and feeding them. These actions will affect your Genopet's Mood Multiplier—a variable that affects how much Energy they convert when you bank your steps. Make sure to Nurture them so the emoji next to the Nurture icons is a green smiley face before banking to receive an extra bonus!
You're also able to customize your Genopet's look using Augments and Cosmetic Crystals. Use Cosmetic Crystals to change your Genopets primary, secondary, and lite lines. Use Augments to change your Genopet's physical appearance and stats—this will be super important when it comes to battles.
All other gameplay requires Energy ⬇️
Uses For Your Energy
Level Up and Evolve: If you want to level up your Genopet, push the lightning bolt in the top right corner of the screen and convert Energy into XP. If applicable, your Genopet will immediately level up and evolve to the next stage.

Battle (future release): You and your Genopet will team up and compete against other players in turn-based combat and mini-games, allowing for casual yet engaging gameplay. You'll challenge other players as you sharpen your reaction time, memory, and overall cognitive skills.
Explore (future release): You and your Genopet will explore the Genoverse in a storybook mode.
Harvest KI (must have access to a Habitat and a wallet): Use your Energy to Harvest KI Tokens from your Habitat on Mainframe—the web-based interface for managing all Habitat actions. Use these Tokens to Craft Items in your Habitat Laboratory.

Ways to Earn With A Habitat
Harvest KI: Use your Energy and Harvest KI Tokens from your Habitat using Mainframe.
Sell Items: Using your Habitat's Laboratory—which you'll find on Mainframe—you can craft Items like Reagents, Augments, and Cosmetic Crystals. If you don't want to use them yourself, you can list them on Magic Eden and sell them to other players.

Rent Out Your Habitat: You can lease your Habitat to other players as either an Alchemist—giving them crafting rights—or a Harvester—giving them rights to Harvest KI. Alchemists will pay rent to the Habitat owner, and Harvesters will pay a percentage of the KI they harvest.
Sell Your Habitat: If you have Terraformed (created) additional Habitats, you can list them on Magic Eden and sell them to other players.
