In the Introduction of Genopets and the concept of Move-to-Earn, we set out to do something different. We observed and learned a lot from the play-to-earn games that came before us, and we’re determined to create a game truly owned, operated, and valued by a global community of players.

In order to build a GameFi economy that can onboard millions of players to Web3 and stand the test of time, a game needs to provide meaningful, enjoyable, and interactive experiences for its players. A fun game is a game people desire, and a strong economy is one where people transact; GameFi needs to encompass both concepts.

Our thesis is that if players are given the right tools, motivation, and ownership in the game economy, they will share the value they create. Thus, rather than us supplying the economy with goods, we put that power in your hands.

Our job is to define what can exist, but it’s up to you to make it happen. We’re handing over the role of creation to the players, allowing you to construct nearly every item you’ll come across in the Genoverse. To maintain the viability of our player-created economic model, we are aligning the economy’s incentives with the game, prompting you to discover and explore what exactly can be seen, created, and transacted.

When you play Genopets, you get the satisfaction of watching your pet grow as you battle, explore, and evolve together, and doing so can increase its value over time. Habitats grant you the opportunity to contribute to the economy as a Merchant — you are the supplier. You get to produce the Habitats, Crystals, Augments, and most other items players will need to progress more quickly in the game.

Habitats generate Crystals, Terraform Seeds, and KI Tokens, the primary building blocks of every craftable item you will ever encounter. Our team has thoughtfully designed ways to reward those who invest in their Genopets experience, which are evident in the ability to lease to other players, craft new S/NFTs, and sell those assets to generate an active and passive income.
