Note: items below, unless noted, are not final. Most things we share in Status Reports include early renderings, prototypes, or explorations, so please keep that in mind when sharing thoughts.


Finders keepers—Check out the treasures your Genopet finds with Banking Rewards 🥳

Each day as you go about your life and take steps — whether at the gym, at work, or anywhere else — your Genopet is right there by your side. And while their little feet are pitter-pattering on the grounds of Esoterra, they’re known for finding food and toys they like to collect. Every day you Bank more than 1,000 steps, you’ll give your Genopet permission to keep their found treasures—Food and Toys you’ll need to Nurture them in Nurture mini-games.

After lunch, it’s time to play!—Nurture mini-games Feed and Fetch are in final testing

The next features to launch on our Roads to Augmentation are the Feed and Fetch mini-games. These games combine with Petting as a trifecta of affection so you can show your Genopet how much you care.

Unlike Petting, Feed and Fetch are mini-games and require Energy to play. And while Petting affects your Genopet’s Love Score, Feed and Fetch will affect your Genopet’s Nutrition and Joy Scores, respectively. 

When these features launch, make sure to fill up your Genopet’s Love, Nutrition, and Joy Rings before Banking to maximize your Energy conversion.

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s a Paper Starship referral campaign!

Paper Starships are an elusive Banking Reward that most Genopets find challenging to locate. But they’re really cool looking, so who wouldn’t want one?

We know Jay did 🤣, so we decided we’d allow everyone the opportunity to earn this badass Toy outside of Banking Rewards. 

Here’s the sitch: Anyone who gave their personal referral code to a friend was gifted a Paper Starship.

(studio audience cheer) But wait there's more! 

If you used the one you had before Monday, we’ve added 5 more invite codes to your account. Anyone who uses those invites to bring 5 more friends into Genopets before 11:59 pm PT on Feb 13th will receive 10 more Paper Starships! 

There can never be enough Starships and this advanced banking reward is sure to bring your Genopet A LOT of joy.

  • We created a step-by-step tutorial on how to Craft. 

  • Everybody got a plus one with their personal referral code.

  • We’ve implemented a new camera system to adjust for Genopets of all sizes, levels, and stages. Whether you’re petting your pet, banking your steps, or just admiring it in its Habitat, the camera in the app will now adapt to catch its best side.

  • The Inventory Screen is back! (Food and Toys only for now)

  • We upgraded the Bank Button w/ Step Efficiency Rating.​
  • Nurture Actions now have help tips and explainer screens.


  • W.H.I.T.T.A.K.R. is one step closer to life after going through rigging and animation.


  • Stage 7 Head Augments have been sketched and vectorized. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come 👀






  • 3D models for Stage 7 Heads have been approved.
