Welcome to a historic moment in gaming! With the latest app update, v0.7.1, Genopets introduces the ability to import your BTC Baby as a playable, in-game asset. This update marks the official integration of Ordinal NFTs, allowing you to bring your unique BTC Baby into the virtual world of Genopets. In this step-by-step guide, we'll walk you through the process of importing your BTC Baby into the Genopets app, so you can start exploring, nurturing, and battling with your adorable and valuable digital companion.
Step 1: Obtain A BTC Baby
This is obviously a very self-explanatory first step. But for players who weren’t able to mint a BTC Baby before the collection sold out, you can purchase one from another player here. Since BTC Babies are Oridinal NFTs, they’ll need to be stored in an xverse wallet.
Step 2: Get The Latest Update
Make sure you have the Genopets app installed on your phone. If you don't have the app yet, visit the App Store or Google Play Store to download it. Create a game account and check out our Twitter or Discord to grab an invite code from Genovians who have shared their codes with the community. We’re currently in Phase II of Whitelist Beta, so you’ll need an invite code to start playing.
If you’ve already set up your game account and have been playing for a while, make sure that you're running v0.7.1 to have access to the BTC Baby import feature.
Step 3: Head To Mainframe To Connect Your Wallet
Head over to Mainframe—either on your phone or computer, it doesn’t matter—and log in to your game account.
Then click the upper-rightmost tab—this is where you can view your game account, your current connected wallet, and connect a new wallet. Click “connect” under xverse to connect the xverse wallet holding your BTC Baby to your game account.
Once connected, you’ll be able to view your Genopet in the “Inventory” section of Mainframe. Click the tab “In The Genoverse” under “Genopets” to view all of their details.
Step 4: Open The App & View Your Account
Open up the Genopets app on your phone and click on the left hexagon at the bottom of the screen to open up the cluster. Click on “Account” to view all of your Genopets connected to your game account.
Since you’ve connected your xverse wallet containing your BTC Baby to your game account on Mainframe, you should now be able to view your BTC Baby in the “My Genopets” section of the account page. Simply click on your BTC Baby and then click “Activate” when the giant button appears on the screen to swap them into the game.
Whenever your BTC Baby is ready to take a break and you want to show some love and attention to your other Genopet(s), just come back to the account page and click on your other Genopet and then click “Activate” to start playing with them again.
Step 5: Love Your BTC Baby
Now that your BTC Baby is activated, it's time to embark on an exciting journey of care and play! Show your BTC Baby some love by engaging in various activities to keep them happy and maximize your Step Efficiency. Make sure to play with them, feed them, and provide the necessary care they need to thrive within the Genopets app.
And remember, as you nurture your BTC Baby, their signature texture will always remain intact. No matter if they evolve into new forms, have new Augments applied, or have Cosmetic Crystals used on them, their unique and distinctive texture will be preserved. This ensures that your BTC Baby retains its original charm and maintains the qualities that make it truly special.
