New updates and improvements to the Genoverse
Below are some of the items the Genopets team has worked on over the past few weeks. We’re pulling back the curtain to show you, fellow Genovians, what goes into making a game.
Note: items below, unless noted, are not final. Most things we share in Status Reports include early renderings, prototypes, or explorations, so please keep that in mind when sharing thoughts.
Prizes, prizes, prizes galore! — We adjusted the Community Challenge to give you more, more, more!
The Genopets team started the Community Challenge to add even more prizes to the current Treasure Hunt prize pool. Our team wants nothing more than for those prizes to get into your hands, so we adjusted the Challenge rules to make it happen! Now unlocking prizes is based on overall minted pages, meaning the community has unlocked nearly all of the extra prizes. That’s right! You’ve unlocked limited-edition tail and wing augments, choose-your-own-color Chroma Crystals, and an Energy Boost that doubles your Energy.
If you guys mint 35,000 total pages or more before the Hunt ends, you’ll also unlock the limited-edition horn augment 👀

Missing a missing page? — Alkali’s crafting pages 13, 15, & 16 are now trading on Magic Eden
To craft in the Legendary Lab at the end of the Treasure Hunt, you’ll need to collect all 5 pages — one from each week. You're in luck if you missed a week or want to collect extra copies of recipe pages so you can craft multiple times. Head over to Magic Eden and grab what you need from other community members. Recipe pages for weeks 1–3 are currently listed.
Give your Genopet some love — We’re testing the petting mini-game in app🥰
Who doesn’t love a good head scratch? Your Genopet definitely does. With the petting mini-game, you can now do just that! You’ll see your Genopet react through mini hearts as you give them scratches as their mood improves.
Note: The petting mini-game was added to this latest release as an early test and still needs optimizations for the best player experience on every device. While petting your pet is fun, in this first release, it has no impact on your Genopet’s Mood.
A few other highlights:
- Coloring has been completed for the Stage 5 Aqua Augment Series. Check out some of the augments you’ll be able to craft in the future
- Check out these initial design sketches for WHITTAKR — inspired by the lotus flower
- We’ve been testing out augmentation animation concepts. We haven’t landed on the right one yet, but check out some of the ideas we’ve tested so far
- Stage 5 special augments have been 3D modeled. Here’s a peek at some of the augments you’ll be crafting in the future
- The Genopets team has been working hard on Battle. Multiple times a week, team members from across departments have been meeting to test different variations of gameplay and game mechanics in battle discovery sessions
- We’ve added a new pending items tab in Mainframe
